2012 - 2015: Studying at the University of Lincoln, (BA) Fine Arts

Passionate about art and mental health from a young age, the main reason for my art’s existence is to promote discussion about my wide range of subject matters, from the changing landscape of humanity, to the transgression from gender and sexuality. My art, to me, is an expression of the self; my journey began when I was a child, and will continue until I am too old to pick up a pencil.

Stylistically, I tend to follow this mantra throughout my art; my journey is not yet finished, and nor is my art. Dreamlike and broad, my work has an abundance of sketch-lines, messy colour patches, and layers. I take a messy, layered approach to my paintings; however, I take a very precise, careful approach towards drawing.

I enjoy seeking out influence from other artists; these tend to be quite illustrative, such as Paula Bonet, or Audrey Kawasaki. On the other hand, artists such as Jenny Saville and Frida Kahlo also influence me. I tend to take influence, as a feminist, from a majority of contemporary female artists, though I also enjoy the works of traditional artists such as Van Gogh and Rubens.

Overall, I feel I can grow tall as an artist, with the right nurturance and experience. I will continue being inspired by the world, and people around me.
